Launch Checklist
The four steps to go live, from setup to your first paid patient.
This page is your go-live checklist. It shows the four steps that take your brand from an empty account to your first paid patient.
You do this as the Client Admin — the role that can set everything up. Do the steps in order. Each step needs the one before it.
Before you start
Have these ready:
Your signed contract with your provider network (the licensed doctors who review orders and prescribe)
Your payment processor login and its API keys, from Stripe, Authorize.Net, NMI, SimPay, Square, or Whop
Your product list with a price for each product
Your bank account details for the payment processor
Who does what: GEN Health links your provider network. You do the other three steps yourself. Your provider network reviews orders. It does not set up your storefront.
Time: About 2 to 4 hours of your own work. Some steps then wait on other people. If you need to open a new payment processor account, its approval time is set by the processor, not by GEN Health. Network linking depends on GEN Health after your contract is signed.
Sort out your payment processor early. You cannot take money until a payment processor is connected and approved. Already have an approved processor account? You only need to add your API keys, which takes minutes. Need to open a new one? Start that application before the other steps, because approval time is set by the processor and telehealth accounts usually get extra review.
Your four steps
Tick each box as you finish. Work top to bottom.
Link your provider network
Connect your payment methods
Add your products
Pair each product to a medication
Link your provider network
Your provider network is the group of licensed doctors who review orders and prescribe. GEN Health links it to your account after your contract is signed. You cannot do this step yourself.
There is no single screen that says your network is linked. You confirm it in two places. Your network's products appear on the Products page (left menu, Products). A Provider Networks section appears on the Integrations page (left menu, Integrations). Not sure it is done? Open a support ticket.
Connect your payment methods
In the left menu, click Billing. You land on the Billing page. Find the Payment processor card. Click your processor tile: Stripe, Authorize.Net, NMI, SimPay, Square, or Whop. A window opens. Paste the API keys (called your credentials) from your processor account, then save. The card shows your processor as connected.
Do not see any processor tiles on the Billing page? Your account may run payments through your provider network instead. Here's how to check: read the top of the Billing page. If it says payments are processed through your provider network, skip this step and move on.
Add your products
In the left menu, click Products. Click the Create button. A dialog asks What would you like to create? Pick Product.
Fill in Display name, Display description, and Price. Add a product image. Turn on Active, then Show on storefront. A new product row appears in your list. Repeat for each product. Not sure what price to set? Check the medication cost first. See Add Products.
Pair each product to a medication
A prescription product needs a medication linked to it. In the left menu, click Formulary. Your formulary is your medication menu, the medicines you are allowed to sell. The sheet is titled Formulary mapping. Link each prescription product to a medication and pharmacy. When a product is paired, its pairing count updates.
No Formulary in your left menu? Your OnlyScripts pharmacy connection is not active yet. OnlyScripts is the pharmacy service that fills and ships medications. Here's how to check: open Integrations and finish OnlyScripts setup. The Formulary page appears once the connection is on.
An amber "needs pairing" alert blocks your launch. An order for an unpaired product cannot reach a pharmacy. It stalls with no error message. Clear every "needs pairing" alert before you go live.
Run the final test
Now act like a real patient. This proves every step works before real patients arrive.
Make a free test coupon
In the Products area, open Coupons. Make a coupon set to percentage off, amount 100. Assign it to your test product. This keeps your test order free. See Coupons.
Create a test patient
Sign up with a real email you control. Name it clearly as a test. Use the same sign-up path a real patient uses.
Buy a product end to end
Go through checkout as the test patient. Enter the 100%-off coupon. Fill in every required form. Finish the purchase.
Check the order and messages
In the left menu, click Orders. Confirm your test order shows with the right status. Send a message to the test patient and confirm it arrives.
Keep the test patient account. It is your fastest way to check future changes. From day 1, follow the Daily Routine.
After launch
Your first week matters most. Check Track Orders and Messages & Calls often. Watch your dashboard for alerts. Fix small problems before patients notice them. Stuck and not sure why? Open a ticket early. See Get Help.
Words to know
| Word | What it means |

| OnlyScripts | The pharmacy service that fills and ships your patients' medications. |
| Promo code / coupon | A code that gives the patient a discount at checkout. |
Step 1 is done by GEN Health. What do I do while I wait?
Start your payment processor application today.
- Already have a processor account? Just add your API keys — that part is quick.
- Need a new one? Start that application now, since the processor sets the approval time.
- You can add products and set prices while you wait.
- Pairing needs your pharmacy connection on, so save it for last.
How do I know my provider network is linked?
There is no single "my network" screen yet.
- Your network's products appear on the Products page.
- A Provider Networks section appears on the Integrations page.
- Still not sure? Open a support ticket.
Why don't I see the Formulary page?
Your OnlyScripts pharmacy connection is not active yet.
- Open Integrations and finish OnlyScripts setup.
- The Formulary page appears once the connection is on.
Can I take real payments during the test?
No, and you do not need to.
- Use a 100%-off coupon so the test order is free.
- This lets you test before your processor is even approved.
What makes a good test patient?
A real email you control, signed up the normal way.
- Use the same sign-up path real patients use.
- Name it clearly as a test so no one mistakes it for a real person.
