Visit Options
Set up the visits patients can book or buy, attach the right forms, and turn them on.
This page shows you how to set up the visits patients can book or buy. You do this on the Visits page. You need to be a Client Admin.
Before you start
Have these ready:
Your intake and consent forms, already built in Build Forms
A clear name for each visit, like "Follow-up consult"
A choice for each visit: live video visit or questionnaire visit?
Who does what: You set up the visits. Your provider network (the licensed doctors who review orders and prescribe) supplies the visit products and runs the visits. Your staff book patients into time slots.
Time: About 10 minutes to set up one visit. There is no waiting.
Open the Visits page
In the left menu, click Visits. You land on the Visits page. You see the Visit Options list and a History table.
Open a visit to set up
In the Visit Options list, click the visit you want to set up. The visit editor opens.
Name the visit
Type a clear name in the name field, like "Follow-up consult". Patients see this name. You can also add an image and a background color.
Attach the forms
Under Attached forms, search for the forms the patient should fill in. Add your intake (the health questions) and consent forms. You build these in Build Forms. The patient fills them in before the visit. Then the provider can read them first.
Turn the visit on
Turn on Visit active. Then turn on Show on storefront so patients can find and book it.
Test the visit
Book the visit with a test patient account. Check that the forms show up and the confirmation looks right.
The two kinds of visit
Every visit is one of two kinds. Both end with a provider decision.
| Kind | What it means | Pick it when |
|---|---|---|
| Live video visit | A live video call with a provider, at a set time. | The patient needs to speak with a provider face to face. |
| Questionnaire visit | No call. The patient answers questions. A provider reviews them later. | A provider can decide from the patient's answers alone. |
Not sure which kind? Ask your provider network. They run the visits, so they know which one fits the product.
Add-on visits
An add-on visit is an extra live or questionnaire visit you attach to a product, on top of the first one. You set this on the product, not on this page. Open the product in Add Products and use the Offer included visits control.
Promo codes on visits
You may be able to add a promo code (a discount code) to a visit. Here's how to check: open the Products page and look for a Coupons area. If you see it, you can make discount codes. If you do not, your account does not have coupons yet. Ask your provider network.
Words to know
